Site Monitoring

SER itself does not undertake site surveys, but it does hold the results of surveying carried out by Staffordshire Wildlife Trust. These surveys result in the Wildlife Sites System for Staffordshire, managed by a grading committee comprising representatives of SER, SWT, Staffs County Council, the relevant district councils, Natural England and Environment Agency.

Sites are graded according to a set of guidelines developed by the Wildlife Sites Partnership with reference to Defra guidance[1]. it is intended that these will be now be made publicly available here, but as an interactive set of pages, together with a downloadable copy of the most recent published version.
